About Us

Plum Property was created to meet an obvious need in the real estate market for a Buyers’ Agency specialising in investment property. While there are quite a number of Buyers’ Agencies in Australia, most of them focus on buying homes for people to live in, which is very different to the specialised expertise required for the investment market.

Karen McGlinchey
Karen is a licensed Buyers Agent and a principal of Plum Property. She is also a lawyer with over fifteen years experience assisting clients with their legal and property needs. She has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of property buying, selling and negotiation.

Karen is also a property investor with extensive holdings in Australia and overseas, and understands the need for accurate, independent information when selecting property for investment.

Karen has a law degree and diploma of teaching. She teaches Property Law at The Property School in Sydney.

Through Plum Property Karen is committed to bringing a fresh approach to property investment - combining excellent personal service, a rigorous research base to support property investment recommendations and the convenience of a one stop shop.

Maryann Castell
Maryann is our Customer Service Manager, with a focus on the management of the post-purchase Settlement process. Maryann has more than 25 years of experience working in customer service related departments in a variety of industries, but particularly in Real Estate.

Maryann was educated in Japan, Australia and the UK. She has travelled extensively which helps to give her a broad and unbiased view of what customers require.

While living in the UK, Maryann was the Customer Service Manager for a number of years at Curchods Real Estate. They are a leading group of independent Real Estate Agents based in Surrey. She dealt with the daily needs of purchasing property as well as liaising with lawyers and conveyances, dealing with surveyors and valuers, and advising both vendors and purchasers throughout the property transaction.  Maryann also worked for some time in the Property Management side of the real estate industry.

Maryann’s extensive experience in the property industry and her calm approach enables here to guide and assist our customers through the purchasing process from start to finish. She prides herself on her ability to provide a smooth transaction and total satisfaction for all our clients.
